October 17th

Savannah is walking all over the place. She takes between 10-12 steps at a time and has gained so much confidence. She went for her 12 month check up yesterday and is doing great! My itty bitty baby weighed in at 16 lbs. 8 oz., which means that in 1 year she has only gained 10 lbs. 6 oz. That seems like way too little but the doctors say she's fine. She's in the 3rd % for weight, 25% for height and 50% for her head. The doctor gave us the go ahead to start whole milk, so we did, and she seems to like it. We shall see. We hope it's a smooth transition because we don't want to buy formula anymore!! We can also start giving her more table foods. Her second tooth is on it's way in and the doctor said that her top teeth probably aren't far behind. It's hard to imagine what she'll look like with a couple teeth. We're looking forward to going to Jamaica in a few weeks and letting Savannah go to the beach for the first time and getting to meet her uncles, cousin and soon to be aunt.
