1 More Month...

23 months! Time as just flown by so fast. 2 years ago I was working my tail off at Borders and couldn't wait for Savannah to get here. I've seen other people write lists of what there kids do at certain ages, so I decided to do one to. 23 things about her right now...

23. She likes to color with sidewalk chalk.

22. She almost has all of her teeth. 1 more front tooth needs to come in.

21. She'll hit you or tap you and repeatedly say Mommy or Daddy when she wants something.

20. She is a pro at the DVD player and TV. Daddy thinks this is great, while Mommy is highly annoyed by it.

19. She says 996 a lot. She counts off numbers a lot, but sometimes she just says "996".

18. Anytime she sees a bike/motorcycle she says "Bike...vroom vroom".

17. She loves grapes, grilled cheese, graham crackers, chicken marinara, nutter butters & peach jelly

16. Behind our house they are expanding the fire department so there are a lot of trucks right now. She goes to the kitchen window and says, "Trucks...Big Trucks".

15. She is really good at remembering names. She knows almost everyone's names in the family and if we say we're going to see them, she gets excited and won't stop talking about them. She can even remember my older brothers names when she looks at pictures of them. This amazes me since she doesn't really know them and has only seen them 2 or 3 times.

14. She loves to spy on you in the bathroom by looking under the door and saying "knock knock"

13. She now says to Carter and I, "Hi precious" and "Hi Cutie". We say these things to her, so she says them back.

12. She is not very fun to take ANYWHERE anymore. She won't sit in carts. She wants to walk with you or run. She can be bribed with M&M's or occasionally soda but that doesn't last forever. Plus, I hate the look she gets when she drinks soda. She looks crazy and she won't stop drinking it. It's like a drug.

11. Being that we want her to have manners, she's been saying please, thank you, welcome, for a while now, but sometimes she forgets. So, we'll remind her by saying, "What do you say?" and then she remembers. NOW, she comes up to us, mostly when she wants something, and says, "What do you say....Please." It's pretty hard to resist.

10. She says "Show me", "Tell me", "See me". All things that we say and she can't figure out how to change it for herself to say. The whole "see me" thing is weird. She's not a fan of the car seat lately and she'll scream back there, "SEE ME!", over and over again. We can't figure out what she means by it, because we'll turn around and say, We see you! I keep telling Carter that I think it means "Save Me".

9. She likes to jump on the bed that we have in the computer room.

8. She calls music, "mugits"

7. She's very animated like her Daddy.

6. She loves to be chased and tickled.

5. She never fails to mess up the computer room everyday.

4. She sings HER version of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and the clean up song. Mostly sounding like, "Winkle Winkle Star" and "Keam Up Evebody".

3. She loves to pull out my FRIENDS boxed sets and take out all the disks. Why she only does it with them, I don't know. Anyway, Carter likes to TELL her who the people are, so now my daughter knows all the FRIENDS names. The only name she has a hard time with is Phoebe. We've been watching HEROES lately too, so now she says, "Watch, HEROES."

2. When Daddy is home, she is a Daddy's girl. She'll ask where he is a couple times a day. She knows to go to him and ask for things that I wouldn't let her have or if she wants to watch a movie, Carter's game. It starts at such a young age.

1. My favorite thing that she says right now is, "Is it broken?". If the TV doesn't turn right on, "is it broken?". It is the cutest thing. She says it so concerned. She will also say, "Is it working?" and "Fix it." I don't know how many times a day she says these things, but it's a lot.

There you have it. All this puts you right in the middle of my day. It's pretty fun, but occasionally pretty frustrating. One more month until her awesome Chipmunk party!
