So here is my post on Savannah's actual birthday. When she got up in the morning we brought her downstairs just like normal and at first she didn't even see her presents sitting there, she just went straight over to pick out a MOVIE! Then she noticed her chair and a present and was looking at us like, "Is this for me?". We gave her this chair and a little Kelly Barbie doll. We had two other presents but waited on those until Saturday.

After breakfast and getting ready we headed out for the day. First we took her to Target to get some pictures taken. Probably not the funnest thing for her to do, (or us!), but we wanted to document her second birthday properly. Anyway, the first set of pictures we took she was pretty good, but by the second outfit she was so irritated and wanted to leave. Needless to say, we only got one good picture out of that second batch. And Savannah was rewarded with a Snickers bar. While we waited to see the pictures we wandered through Target and I needed to pick up some door covers because Savannah can now open any door she likes, whenever she likes.
AHHHH! So after we picked out our pictures (a post of those will be later to come) we headed over to
McDonalds, or as Savannah calls it
EVERYTIME she sees it, FRIES!! After lunch we took her to Chuck E Cheese. Now, Carter and I had planned and thought about what to do for her birthday for weeks, and we both were so excited to take her there since we both remember it being a lot of fun when we were kids. We get there, and about the only thing we were impressed by was the Kids Check thing they do. They had NO BALL PIT!! HELLO!! What is Chuck E Cheese without a fun ball area? I was totally counting on that. They really didn't have many age appropriate games or things for Savannah to do. She didn't want to ride any of the little cars, etc. Anyway, luckily we only bought $5 worth of tokens, because we had a hard time even using all those. We tried to include her in as many games as possible, but we ended up playing most of them and she watched. A total
disappointment. Check out your local Chuck E Cheese before you go... Man. Anyway, here are some pictures of her while we were there.

She actually wanted to "play/watch Daddy play" this game a couple times.
After being there for about an hour, and counting on being there at least 2 hours, we just left. Carter and I HAD to schedule hair cut appointments on her birthday, UGH, and they weren't until 3. It was
around 1. So we went into
Walmart and got an ice cream at where else, FRIES! We took a movie back to Blockbuster. Still had time. Right next door to where we get our hair cut, there is this place called Smart Cookie. Yummy Cookies. So we bought some cookies and ate outside while waiting til 3.

After trying to
wrangle her while each of us was getting pretty, she was just so tired. Carter went first, and by the time I started, I told him to just put her in the car and drive and she'd probably fall asleep. Indeed she did. After I was done, we headed home. We watched 101 Dalmatians and then had dinner and a little cupcake for her.

She blew the candle out right away!

YUMMY!!

She was still so tired from the day so after dirtying herself up with Chocolate cupcake, we took her up and gave her a bath and let her play in there. She went to bed by 7:30pm.

The day didn't go exactly how we would have liked it to, but it was most important that we both got to spend the day with her. She got lots of goodies though!!
We are amazed by her everyday! She changes and learns new things everyday and it is so fun! We can't believe that she is 2. It has gone by so fast. But we look forward to all the new and fun things to come with her. We love her so much and are so glad that she's our
babygirl!

haha...didn't you knwo they got rid of ball pits almost everywhere? the germs that were found in the ball pits were horrific. urine, feces, haha well sorry it was a damper for you! the good thing about it is that she is 2 and probably won't remember much! haha
No, I didn't know that, but Carter and I had that thought afterward. Lame. They probably were sooo gross though.
Happy Birthday Savannah! I can't wait to hang out with you and your mom again!
