2 Months Already

I can't believe that Cooper is already 2 months old. Here are a bunch of photos of him with comments on things he does now.

He is still incredibly strong. He occasionally rolls over and gets his head up sooo high sometimes when he's on his tummy. Almost every night I swaddle him in a blanket to sleep and every morning he is out of it. Not a big fan of the swaddle. He does like to stand with help sometimes and really locks his legs. Lately, he really gets his legs going and is really trying to scoot or something. He has started to sleep longer through the night. We've had some nights were he's eaten at 9:30 pm and then slept and not eaten until 5 am. Too bad we don't go to bed at 9:30, otherwise we'd be in great shape in the sleep department.

Being colicky some of the time, he prefers to be held like this. He doesn't want you to sit and hold him like this, he wants you to stand and hold him like this. He likes to be forward when you hold him, in a sitting position too.

Sometimes he's really particular about his surroundings. Sometimes he gets to the point were you can tell that he just wants it quiet, no lights on, and to just fall asleep. That's hard with a loud two year old running around everywhere.

He smiles the most in the morning or after he eats. I love the most when he squints his eyes a little and quirks one side of his mouth. It's almost a little flirty face.

I'm not sure how this is comfortable to him, but this is how he ends up when he falls asleep in the car seat. We'll move his head but he just puts it right back. Sometimes it seems like he even curls his body sideways too.

These are the first bath time pictures we've taken and he's 2 months! He really likes his bath and just sits there and enjoys the warm water.

This is what his hair looks like after a bath. It gets curly! Then it goes away. :( Since his head is growing, his hair is starting to look thinner because it doesn't cover as much of his head anymore. He's starting to get that clear dividing line through his hair.

Cooper makes the absolute best pout face EVER. He exaggerates it sooo much. I have yet to be able to get a picture of it, because he mostly does it when he gets upset, but I tell you, it is great! It's sad that he's crying, but when he does it, it melts you and makes you laugh at the same time.

We're very excited to see how much he's grown at his 2 month appointment next week. We feel like he's growing really well and looks really healthy. Sometimes he looks so much older to us. His face is so grown up and a lot of people say he looks like a "little man". He's got Carter's checkbones for sure and my dimple in the chin. He's got tiny little ears that we can't quite place. He's pretty husky too. Everyone says "maybe he'll play football", but Mommy says NO. Football, hockey, rugby; all those sports were you loose teeth or break bones regularly or even become possibly paralyzed (I'm seen too many shows and read too many articles to make me believe that this could never happen), not gonna happen. Carter's like, "Well, then he'll just be a linebacker and totally punish the other guys." Yeah, with a 5'0 Mom, and a tall skinny Dad, not sure that we're going to have some 200 lb. kid on our hands.
